On arrival at Baton Country Escape you are immediately thrown into a relaxed state, the quite idyllic garden is just the place to pull out that holiday book. This picturesque valley is quiet and energizing, surrounded by farmland, only the sounds of the country to send you to sleep.

This country holiday home features 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with freeview channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace with spectacular views, there is also plenty of private parking  available. 

Your hosts, Sue and Dion, farm sheep and cattle. Only 200 M from the house, you are at the hub of the farm. On request, they are happy for children to engage with some of the farm animals. In spring there are always pets to hand feed bottles to. Sue has set up a marked walk for guests who want some exercise and a view to the rivers and farmland.

Fishermen can take a stroll down the driveway and fish for one of those elusive Motueka Brown trout. There are multiple rivers here to fish, with private farm access to a number of spots. The Motueka River is within close proximity to four other river tributaries, one of them being the Baton River where the confluence is just a minute away.

If guests are bringing their bikes, you can bike the most recent edition to The Taste Nelson Bike Trail and explore the upper part of the valley. The idyllic pools will certainly tempt you for a quick dip. If you are lucky enough, you may even get to see some native Whio, ( Blue Ducks ). Kaiteriteri, 40 minutes away offers a comprehensive mountain bike park.
